Giving a troubled boy the opportunity for a better
life through personalized treatment and education.

The Good Samaritan Boys Ranch is a long-term treatment facility for boys who have been abandoned, abused, neglected or suffer from complex psychological disorders.
Serving Missouri for over 40 years, the Ranch provides a home, and a loving environment to live, learn and grow.
This is the original farmhouse purchased by Rev. Johnson in 1959 along with two of the first residents and house parents.
It was 1959 and Rev. Robert Johnson was leading a congregation at Seminole Baptist Church in Springfield. He and his wife felt a calling to open a home for wayward boys. They purchased a farm north of Springfield and the foundation for the Good Samaritan Boys Ranch was laid.
The staff and Board of Directors at the Good Samaritan Boys Ranch are planning a year of celebrating in 2009 to honor the 50th anniversary of the organization. We have many exciting events scheduled for the year and want you to be a part of history. Check out our schedule of events and become a part of the golden anniversary celebration!
Please contact us for more information on how you can be involved or if you have some memory or history to share about the Good Samaritan Boys Ranch.
