May 13 – Bolivar Insulation/Empire Bank Charitable Golf Tournament

 Held at Millwood Country Club south of Springfield, Missouri. Teams are $600 for a four person scramble and includes lunch before play, goody bags with a featured golf items, refreshments on course and appetizer buffet following play. Lunch is served at 11:30 am, golf begins promptly at 12:30pm. Call the Boys Ranch for more details and sponsorship opportunities.

 August 3 through 13 – Annual Price Cutter Charity Championship

Held at the beautiful Highland Springs Country Club, this annual golfing event serves as a springboard for young PGA players and raises money for local charities. The Good Samaritan Boys Ranch receives funding from this annual event and sponsors the Celebrity Skins Game.

August 1 to 31 – Back to School Promotion with Staples

Held annually with Staples, this promotion provides school supplies and money for back to school clothes for the boys at the Ranch. Collection barrels are located at each Staples location in Springfield.

August 31 – Springfield Business Journal Men of the Year

Recognizing influential men in the community and raising funds for the men of tomorrow, the SBJ Men of the Year highlights the accomplishments of area men at a luncheon which also features a silent and live auction benefiting the Good Samaritan Boys Ranch. Event begins at Noon.

September – Big Whiskeys Bartender Shoot-Out.

This 3rd annual event will match Springfield area bartenders who will compete for trophies and bragging rights. All drinks prepared in competition will be auctioned off with proceeds benefiting the Good Samaritan Boys Ranch. A 50/50 raffle and appetizers are included in the cover charge. Festivities begin at 6 p.m. at Big Whiskeys.

September 14 – Boys Ranch Boathouse Race at Springfield Lake Boathouse

Offers two outdoor events – a 5K/10K trail run and canoe/kayak race. Individual and team divisions, prizes, food and fun! The trail race begins at 8 a.m. followed by the canoe/kayak race at 10 a.m.

October – Macadoodles Fall Wine Tasting

Sample over 90 wines from throughout Missouri, the U.S. and the world while we raise money for a good cause. Macadoodles of Springfield sponsors this fall event which includes a crystal wine glass for tasting, appetizers and silent auction. Entry fee is $25.

November & December – Give a Boy a Golden Christmas Holiday Direct Mail & Gift Drive

This annual mailing and gift drive held in conjunction with 99 Hit FM Radio and the Bolivar Herald Free Press provides a bright holiday for the boys who will be spending the holidays at the Ranch.

December 29 – 14th Annual Good Samaritan Run for the Ranch

Sponsored by Ozark Mountain Ridge Runners features a half marathon and full marathon. Register on-line at www.omrr.org Run begins at 1:30 p.m. on the Missouri State Campus.
